The Executive Hotel Group is looking for qualified Sales Mangers to join our progressive organization.  We currently have positions available in select properties in the Metro Vancouver Area.  We are looking for qualified sales individuals to join our progressive team of highly motivated intervals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Reports directly to the General Manager and liases with the Regional Director, Sales & Marketing

·         Sales initiatives for the hotel, ensuring that the strategic planning process is integrated into the day to day operations of the department

·         participating as an active member of the Hotel Executive Committee and the Regional Sales Team

·         Directing the activities of outside agencies and internal staff on local and in-house advertising campaigns.

·         Supervising the production and distribution of literature, collateral materials, room displays, audio visual aids

·         Preparing and administering the hotel's sales plan to achieve total hotel revenue goal

·         Working with the Revenue Manager to determine hotel’s financial room operations, decisions and strategies

·         Leading a motivated, competent staff consistent with hotel, regional and corporate needs through implementation of approved Human Resources and Sales Programs

·         Allocating quotas and objectives and evaluates results through proactive performance management

·         Providing on-going sales direction to direct reports by conducting and implementing a coaching call program and provides guidance and direction on the development of segment action plans

·         Maintaining open communication with National Sales office and corporate sales office personnel

·         Ensuring the integrity of the key account/key prospect data base

·         Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly annual reports as required

·         Co-coordinating and conducting periodic pricing reviews

·         Personally maintaining a base of key accounts

·         Taking an active role in regional tourism organizations

·         Ensuring effective Revenue Management with a mandate toward the optimization of revenue and occupancy and negotiates rates accordingly

·         Working closely with the Public Relations and Programming managers to ensure maximum results from combined sales and public relations activities

·         Constant contact and growth of key accounts- sales calls, prospecting

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

·         Bachelors degree and/ or Hotel Management degree or diploma an asset

·         2 years of hotel sales experience or related experience in another sales field

·         Demonstrated knowledge/experience in advertising and promotional activities

·         Computer literacy required

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; innovative, resourceful and results-oriented

·         Must be a creative and effective leader, possessing a high degree of professionalism, sound human resource skills, and administrative skills

·         Highly energetic with excellent communication skills

·         Must possess a basic understanding of hotel accounting procedures
