BCAA is growing and we need an experienced Employee Communications Specialist to help us achieve our business goals. Reporting to the Manager, Employee Communications, you will lead your own projects as well as participate in cross-divisional teams. Your focus will be employee communications, but you’ll also have the opportunity to work on external communication projects. BCAA is best known for providing top-notch emergency road service, but we also operate full-service travel and insurance agencies. Join our Corporate Communications Team and you will have the opportunity to apply best practices to make a positive difference. Current membership in IABC or CPRS an asset. Key Responsibilities Include This full-time position is ideal for you if you’re interested in applying your employee communications experience in a dynamic organization that values new ideas and creativity. Occasionally, you will need to travel within the Lower Mainland or visit our sales centres in the Interior and on Vancouver Island. Minimum Qualifications Superior project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communications consulting skills. Skilled and experienced in recommending, developing and executing strategic and innovative communication plans. Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of communications. Advanced writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience working with intranets and social media an asset. Five years of progressive communications experience, preferably in employee communications, and in large, complex organizations. A university degree, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism or a related field. Additional studies in professional writing, editing, publishing and/or corporate communications.
