BCAA (British Columbia Automobile Association) is seeking an experienced communicator to help us develop our new intranet and achieve our business goals. Reporting to the manager, employee communications, you will work in partnership with our intranet technical team, as well as divisional stakeholders, intranet publishers and others. BCAA is best known for providing top-notch emergency road service, but we also operate full-service travel and insurance agencies. Join our Corporate Communications Team and you will have the opportunity to apply best practices to make a positive difference. Current membership in IABC or CPRS an asset. Key Responsibilities Include This part-time position (4 days per week) is ideal for you if you embrace working in an inclusive manner and enjoy leading teams. You’re also motivated to work on the behalf of intranet users, and you’re interested in using your skills in a dynamic organization that values new ideas and creativity. Occasionally, you will need to travel within the Lower Mainland or visit our sales centres in the Interior and on Vancouver Island. Minimum Qualifications Superior project management skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities. Skilled and experienced in recommending, developing and executing strategic and innovative web-related plans. Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills to lead groups and resolve issues. Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of intranets and webrelated strategies. Advanced writing and editing skills for an electronic environment. Basic web design skills and experience using content management systems (including RedDot). Five years of communications experience, preferably in employee communications and intranet management, with one year being in a leadership role. A university degree, preferably in communications or a related field. Additional studies in web management, electronic communications and social media.
